Primary

Our Primary school curriculum is based on the Cambridge curriculum. At CIS, we provide research-based, enjoyable, content-rich, and learner-centered curricula that align with the school’s learning objectives for our students.

Along with English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, ICT, and French, learners also benefit from strong arts, music, and physical education programmes. Language, numeracy, social, physical, scientific, and technological abilities are developed through conversation, discussion, questioning, stories, books, play, and well-balanced indoor and outdoor learning experiences.

Admission Requirements For New Students

  • Students joining from other schools must provide a previous academic report card.
  • An official document from the former school is required for verification.
  • After payment of the admission fee, Year 1 to Year 6 applicants sit mandatory tests in science, maths, English, and social studies.
  • Students scoring below 50% on the tests do not proceed to the next class level.
  • Students from French schools are assessed using the French curriculum.
  • After interview, the parent and student meet with the Head of Primary to support academic success.

Continuing Students

The pass mark for progression is 50%, though this may be increased each academic year. Students who score between 40% and 49% are required to sit supplementary examinations.

The C.I.S school welcomes all students and strives for excellence through joint effort between school and families.
